Dugmore Design Studio is a small family business providing landscape architecture services since 1994. Pam and Bruce are husband and wife and business partners. We work from our home in Encinitas, California. Pam is a native of San Diego County, while Bruce was raised in Massachusetts, attended graduate school in Pennsylvania and settled in San Diego in 1989.

Project Experience

Private Residential Garden Experience
Much of our annual business is the design of private residential gardens. We provide design services for projects of all sizes from small front entryways to multi-acre estates.
We can provide a full range of design services from concept development to detailed construction documentation and construction observation. Our Scope of Work can be customized to meet your needs.
We work anywhere in San Diego County and beyond. We have completed residential projects in Rancho Santa Fe, Santa Luz, Fairbanks Ranch, Del Mar, La Jolla, North County Coastal, North County inland, South/East County, and Julian.

Prior Work Experience
Prior to forming our Partnership Bruce worked for two private sector firms in Philadelphia: John Rahenkamp Associates specializing in master plans for large project development; and Coe, Lee, Robinson, Roesch specializing in zoological master plans and exhibit design. In San Diego Bruce worked for Land Design of San Diego specializing in local park design, and spent 7 years with the County of San Diego Planning Department.
Pam, as a graduate student at Cal Poly Pomona, accepted a student internship and later a full time position with the County of San Diego Planning Department. She stayed with the County until 1996 when she left to pursue our partnership business on a full time basis.
